Grönan Live 2024

    Damian Marley

Damian "Jr. Gong" Marley, multiple Grammy Award winner and the youngest son of the legendary Bob Marley, has written his own musical history. Blending reggae with dancehall, hip-hop, R&B and rock, he became the first reggae artist to win a Grammy outside of the genre. His breakthrough album, "Welcome To Jamrock", secured two Grammys for Best Reggae Album and Best Urban/Alternative Performance for the title track, which was also named the best reggae song of the decade by The New York Times.

Collaborations with Nas and Skrillex, especially the platinum-selling "Make It Bun Dem", show his versatile musical abilities - a song that, incidentally, The Rolling Stone praised and described as "as a monster mash-up of dubstep and dancehall."
"Stony Hill," Damian "Jr Gong" Marley's fourth studio album, earned him another Grammy, followed by "The Kalling," which won a Grammy for Best Reggae Album at the 65th Grammy Awards. On August 16 at 20.00 Damian "JR Gong" Marley occupies Gröna Lund's Stora Scen for the fourth time.
